About WMBK
WMBK is a site dedicated to you, dear black-white swirled families! Its primary purpose is to pour out offerings on your lives–to enrich your family experience by helping you white moms integrate fascinating elements of black culture, and most importantly, Christ’s culture.
There are so many of us out there! I love to catch a glimpse of you: adoptive families, foster families, and transracial marriages. You are all so cool. Your kids’ hair? Awesome sauce. (I’m a curl fanatic.) Black, biracial, triracial, whatever makes up your kids’ DNA is a GOD-on-purpose deal. The variety you offer to society paints a different canvas than in previous generations and we also have a unique path to walk. One that incorporates two races beneath the covering of the One who ties us all together.
So, we’ll be chatting about ALL OF IT here. Hair. Teeth. Gummy bears. Blackalicious. Jane Austen. Books. Booker T. Washington. Adoption. Chocolate. Racism (scowl, scowl, scowl). Neighbors. Forgiveness. Lotion. Dredlocks. Goldilocks…
Want me to talk about something? Be interviewed? Send me a message. I’d love to hear your story!
